This was one special night that I filmed for posterity in Ottawa. I was building a set that was to become this dvd presented in the way my act is best suited: warts and all. Just like my audio cd before this, I recorded all my shows in case things went badly. In this case I believe it was the best show to present to you.
The audio was not enhanced at all….and you only get one angle and no cut aways. I repeat: there was no tampering of this show whatsoever. This will feel like you are right there. I also included a large amount of real bonus features. Extra material that was not in the original show.
I filmed many nights with three pro cameras and the stars never aligned for a great show. That is why I am releasing this dvd the way it is. The is the most real show I own and I think that is more important then camera trickery or bullshit. This is the true meaning of bootleg. I never intended to release this show for a dvd but when you see it you will see why I did.
One show all the way through…
I am not sure if I will ever do a dvd again so that is why I have packed it with almost everything worth seeing.

Backstory:
Many people have asked me to make a CD over the years. The problem I always faced was… do I get a set where my material is killing from start to finish, or do I do one where I am freaking out. What I ended up with is a combination of both. The CD is one show, no fooling with the tracks or audience response at all. If the crowd loved a joke they did if they didn’t well you get it. It captures the energy and spirit of what can happen on the road. It is not all love and roses.
I was doing a weekend and it was a Saturday second show with a rowdy crowd. I was going on last and I hit the stage at around midnight. This show can be the kiss of death. So I recorded the set with my digital camera just for posterity. I have been accused in the past of freaking out for no reason so I began taping sets for proof. If a crowd goes too far then I can go too far and it is all on tape. No agent or booker can complain to me when I can supply a tape. So this CD is just that…proof of a crowd that is too hammered and some people are grooving to me and some not.
The sound is good but not amazing. It is a bootleg in style. That is also why I am not charging a huge amount for them. Other comics charge 20 bucks for their comedy CDs. Although I am proud of the cd, I cannot bring myself to gauge people. If you like the site you will like the cd I am sure.
